Subject. This article analyzes statistical indicators of investment activity in the Novosibirsk Oblast and their relationship with indicators of economic well-being. Objectives. The article aims to assess the trends in the development of innovation in the economy of the Novosibirsk Oblast. Methods. For the study, I used econometric modeling. Results. The article identifies trends in the indicators of the development of the innovation sphere and their relationship with the gross regional product per capita in the Novosibirsk Oblast for 2000–2022. The article finds that changes in the indicators of innovative development affect the level of well-being with a delay of 11 to 16 years. Relevance. The results obtained can be taken into account when managing the regional innovative development.
